Our Statement of Faith
Father’s House Church Believes…
In the Holy Bible
We believe in the Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduct of mankind and is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
One God in Three Persons
We believe that there is only one God eternally existing in three persons, The Trinity. Namely, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, which was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe that Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. That he ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father and is in intercessory.
God’s Loving Provision for Humankind
We believe that we all are the divine creation of God, created in His image. We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That Salvation, which is offered through Gods Love, is through repentance and necessary for forgiveness of sins. That justification, regeneration and the New Birth are attained through the blood of Jesus. We believe that subsequent to Salvation is Sanctification through faith in the blood of Christ, The Word of God, and the revelation of the Holy Spirit. In addition we believe in the bodily resurrection and eternal life for the righteous, and in eternal punishment for the wicked.
Divine Healing
All who desire should ask of the Lord and he shall heal the sick and deliver the oppressed.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Subsequent to Salvation and increased sanctification and can be evident with the speaking of tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the rapture of all believers living or dead, by our Lord and King Jesus Christ. We believe in the future establishment of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom and in the eternal New Heaven and New Earth.
Sacraments:
We believe in Water Baptism by immersion. All who repent should be baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Lords Supper. All who are in the body of Christ should partake in the Lords Supper until His return. All who participate should be conscience of their need for repentance and communion with their neighbor. All who participate should do so in memorial of the suffering and the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Marriage and Sexuality:
We believe that marriage is sanctioned by God in covenant which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of the biblical definition of marriage. We believe that marriage is a covenant that can only be broken by death. We believe that all sexual immorality is as any other sin and is an offense to God.
FURTHERMORE; FATHER HOUSE CHURCH BELIEVES…
God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect and dignity. We believe that judgment is reserved and appropriate for God only. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture, the doctrines of the Church, or the Character of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission Statement
TO LIVE
It is the mission of Fathers House Church to be a living and active body of believers that live in accordance to the word of God in the bond of peace. Making every effort to continue in the likeness and fellowship as those from the early church represented in Acts Chapter 2.
TO LOVE
It is the mission of Fathers House Church to love each other as we would ourselves. To show the love of Jesus Christ as an example of whom He is in us. Our mission is to operate in Love in all of our affairs, to love our neighbors, to love the stranger, to love those of all backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities, the widows and the orphans; and above all else Love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.
TO SERVE
It is the mission of Fathers House Church to serve God fervently in our local community of Jones Creek in addition to the Southern Brazoria County area. Our service mission is to strive for unity in our community and within the Body of Christ. We strive to serve as indicated by early believers in Acts Chapter 2. We also strive to serve domestic and foreign missions and missionaries to influence the advancement of the Gospel of Christ here at home and abroad to all those who do not know Him. Lastly our mission is to stay ever prayerful seeking Christ and staying constant in the word of God until the day of the Lord’s return.
